Called to the dance ministry in 1998, founder Lisa Morris began a wonderful journey in learning about the place of dance in the church, as the visual expression of God's Word through praise and worship. Lisa's first assignment was in the ministry of dance as the youth dance leader at New Life Tabernacle Church in Federal Way, Washington, under the leadership of Elder Rose.

Relocating to Arkansas in 2000, Lisa became the youth dance leader for Champions for Christ, under Bishop McCullough. Also during this time, Lisa accepted her call to also become a solo dance minister and she began to minister spontaneously and prophetically during Praise and Worship along with the worship team.

Since accepting her call to dance, Lisa has traveled to different dance conferences throughout the United States to continue learning and advancing to the next level of dance in God. She has have learned a lot and is still learning about the richness of dance and the various ways to express the universal concept and call of dance. From lyrical, Jewish, African, Spanish, to American hip-hop, ballet, jazz etc., and the list is endless in how God can be worshiped and celebrated. Currently, Lisa is the Creative Arts Ministry leader as well as the Praise and Worship Dance leader and Church Administrator at Promiseland Ministries, under the covering of Dr. Antoine Scruggs, Senior Pastor

 

Lisa has a passion for and to develop the creative arts within the church and to utilize the arts to impact, influence and educate the community and the un-churched in this unique way; therefore becoming a supporter, host, and promoter for many efforts utilizing the arts which gave a platform and audience for the Creative Kingdom Arts Festival. This annual festival focuses on bringing Biblical concepts and characters to life through all artistic mediums. Lisa, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Ministry and Leadership at Central Baptist College as well as building her own God given entrepreneur vision by establishing Sacred Acts, LLC online web-store (www.sacredacts.com) to provide custom made praise and worship dance wear and Christian costuming. Lisa became a licensed minister May 18, 2014.
